The finest professional musicians, with the Northern Chamber Orchestra at its core,come together conducted by Artistic Director Nicholas Smith. The Symphony Orchestra plays Rossini’s tuneful overture The Barber of Seville, Mendelssohn’s bright Italian Symphony, and Tchaikovsky’s powerful and exciting Violin Concerto with Icelandic virtuoso Judith Ingolfsson.
There is a special Matinee Concert for senior citizens and schoolchildren with bandoneon soloist Ninon Foiret in Piazzolla’s Four Seasons, and Australian pianist Fiona Corston playing the First Piano Concerto of Shostakovich with Tracey Redfern, trumpet.
The Orchestra also accompanies the FestivalOpera, The Good Old Days, singer Joni Fuller, the Festival Choir, the Late Night Tango concert, and the Upbeat Beatles
TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE MARQUEE BOX OFFICE ON THE NIGHT - OPEN 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE PERFORMANCE - GOOD AVAILABILITY
