50 years of scientific discovery

Added on: Tue Jan 1 2013 in the science category.

In this 50th year of the Bollington Festival we are planning events highlighting 50 years of scientific discovery. Ideas so far include science costume in the carnival procession (fancy dressing up as Dolly the sheep, mad cow disease, Neil Armstrong?), a scarecrow competition with a science theme (can your scarecrow have a laser, or perform a heart transplant operation?) and events and activities celebrating 50 years of scientific discovery.

If there's something from the past 50 years of scientific discovery that you'd particularly like to see at the Festival, please contact us with your suggestions.
Help us make a timeline of significant discoveries, to inspire costumes and scarecrows.
